Job summary

Humdinger in March is seeking a Technical Intake & Supplier Assurance Technician to ensure raw materials meet our quality standards before production of snacks. You will sample materials in the warehouse, run tests in the on‑site lab, and document results to support supplier quality initiatives.

You will maintain systems like Mitti and QAD, release materials for production, and raise non‑conformances while supporting the Technical and NPD teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment (Technical, QA, Production, or NPD).
• Knowledge of QA principles and Food Safety, with a pragmatic problem‑solving approach.
• Excellent organisation, communication, and multitasking abilities.
• Hands‑on attitude, detail‑oriented, and improvement driven.
• Able to work independently or in a team; proficient in MS Office and our systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct allergen swabs and investigate discrepancies.

• Assist traceability exercises and customer complaint investigations.

Technical Intake (Raw Material/ Intake QA role)

Zertus UK & Ireland - Based at a Zertus 3PL Warehouse Location - Knowles Transport, New Road, March PE15 0RG

At Zertus, we’re looking for an enthusiastic Technical Intake & Supplier Assurance Technician to ensure our nuts, cocoa, and other raw materials meet our high standards before they’re transformed into delicious treats like chocolate buttons, Easter eggs, and flavored nuts at our manufacturing locations.

Position type: Full time, permanent

Hours: 37.5 per week

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:30

Salary: £26,240

Closing date: Friday 9th October 2026

Responsibilities

• Work in the warehouse to sample raw materials and packaging directly from deliveries and test them in our on-site lab.
• Complete physical and in-house testing of food products and packaging.
• Cross-check delivery documentation, ensuring everything meets our quality standards.
• Manage systems like Mitti and QAD, submit external test results, and release materials for production
• Raise non-conformances and support supplier assurance tasks.
• Ensure compliance with BRC standards and customer codes of practice.
• Maintain hygiene standards and calibrate equipment daily.

Qualifications

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment (Technical, QA, Production, or NPD).
• A passion for quality assurance and delivering excellence, and a desire to be in a hands‑on role working between the warehouse and lab.
• Knowledge of QA principles, Food Safety, and a pragmatic approach to problem‑solving.
• Excellent organisation, communication, and multitasking skills.
• A hands‑on attitude, attention to detail, and a knack for spotting improvement opportunities.
• A flexible approach to work and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong computer skills - you'll be completing paperwork, using MS Office and our systems via computers or ipads on daily basis.
• Well-developed communication skills – you'll need to be able to present written and verbal reports that are understood by the target audience.
• Project coordination - you'll need to get hands‑on and understand the critical path to deliver within agreed timeframes.
