Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board in North Wales is seeking a Band 4 Physiotherapy Technical Instructor to join the Acute Medical Physiotherapy Team at Glan Clwyd Hospital. You will carry your own caseload with supervision, engage with patients, and work both independently and as part of a team.

The role requires NVQ level 3 or equivalent with relevant rehabilitation experience; highly skilled handling techniques and rehabilitation programmes may be involved.

Qualifications

• Experience in rehabilitation and patient handling within physical health care.

Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Band 4 Physiotherapy Technical Instructor post with the Acute Medical Physiotherapy Team working at Glan Clwyd Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive and motivated individual who has the skills and ability to engage well with their patients and work both independently and as part of a team. Relevant evidence of experience in rehabilitation is desired. You would carry your own caseload of patients with supervision and support from qualified therapists. You will also have experience of using highly skilled handling techniques to facilitate patient movement, and/or rehabilitation, implementing exercise and rehabilitation programmes. You will work with others in the team in the treatment of patients. To apply you should have a NVQ level 3 or equivalent plus relevant experience working in a therapy department in a physical health care setting.

Main duties of the job

To assist the qualified physiotherapist in the overall physiotherapy management of patients in collaboration with carers, support workers, health staff and agencies. Under the direction and guidance of the qualified physiotherapist, to manage and be responsible for their own clinical caseload of clients, following therapeutic programmes in order to improve their physical abilities and to minimise disabilities. To work independently using own initiative, within level of competence. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
