We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 4 Therapy Technical Instructor to join the Medicine Therapy team.
As a therapy Technical Instructor you will work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to ensure a high quality, patient centred approach. The role involves working closely with patients to optimise their ability to perform activities of daily living and to maximise independence. The role will also include non-clinical tasks such as record keeping, data collection, admin tasks and equipment maintenance.
The position can be physically demanding and requires excellent communication skills. You will be required to write directly into electronic medical notes, so a good standard of written work is essential. Due to the busy nature of the wards, you will also need to be resilient and organised.
Successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate some understanding of the role of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy and have an understanding of the role of rehab in the acute setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working in as a therapy assistant in acute or community settings. No professional qualifications are required.
