Job summary

Airbus in Belfast is seeking a Technical Incoming Inspector to join on-site and support live production. You will carry out inspection, quality control and assurance and ensure compliance with design specs and customer requirements on aerospace components.

You will interpret drawings, guide operators, monitor the Delegated Operator Scheme and report issues for corrective action. A strong eye for detail and experience in aerospace manufacturing are essential.

Qualifications

• Completed electrical or mechanical apprenticeship with 2+ years' post-apprenticeship experience in aerospace or manufacturing/assembly/tooling.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications; strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with quality control requirements.
• Knowledge of manufacturing/assembly practices and standards.
• Desirable: ONC/A levels; knowledge of 3D metrology.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspection, quality control and quality assurance functions.

• Provide instruction to operators as required.

Technical Incoming Inspector - Belfast

Location: Belfast (onsite)

Pay Rate: £35.00 per hour PAYE / £46.82 per hour Umbrella

Hours: 36 hours per week over 4.5 days, between 7am-7pm (agreed at business discretion)

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Security Clearance: BPSS+ (arranged by Airbus Security)

What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out inspection, quality control and quality assurance functions

• Monitoring the Delegated Operator Scheme
• Working flexibly as part of a team
• Writing technical reports to highlight drawing, process and tooling anomalies, instigating investigation and corrective action

What We're Looking For

Essential

• A completed electrical or mechanical apprenticeship, with a minimum of 2 years' relevant post-apprenticeship experience in an electrical aerospace environment, or a manufacturing/assembly/tooling environment
• Familiarity with quality control requirements
• The ability to interpret drawings and specifications, with strong communication skills
• Knowledge of company manufacturing and assembly practices, requirements and standards

Desirable

• ONC/A levels or equivalent qualification
• Knowledge of 3D metrology
