Technical Engineer – Permanent

L & C Consulting are recruiting a Technical Support Engineer / Telecoms Specialist / Technical Engineer for a new permanent position in Telford. The role requires West Midland-wide travel, so a valid UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Installation and configuration of various communication systems.
• Fault finding, customer support and training.
• Providing technical support for customers in Shropshire, West Midlands, Staffordshire and Mid Wales.
• Travel regularly within these areas.

Qualifications:

• Experience in an IT or telecommunications support / software-based support role.
• Desire to learn about the bespoke product.
• Professional, flexible, well‑organised with excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with customers of various technical levels.
• Technically astute and looking for development opportunities.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Based in Telford and living within a commutable distance of the site.
• Eligibility to work in the UK full-time without restriction.

Work hours: 08:30 – 17:30, Monday – Friday (some flexibility required for field‑based duties).
