Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Technical Director | Associate Director for Town Planning. You will lead a UK-wide planning team, deliver high-quality consultancy services, and manage fees and resources across major infrastructure projects.

The role requires RTPI accreditation, strong consultancy leadership, and a proven track record in winning significant projects, with a proactive, growth-focused approach and excellent stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, grow and develop an established Town Planning team across the UK
• Deliver high-quality planning consultancy services to clients
• Manage commercial performance including fee governance and resourcing
• Lead major multidisciplinary bids for infrastructure and development projects
• Develop new business opportunities and strengthen client relationships
• Oversee project delivery ensuring technical excellence, quality and compliance
• Collaborate across national planning, environmental and infrastructure teams
• Mentor and support team members with performance reviews
