Job summary

Create Recruitment Specialists Ltd are partnering with a globally recognised premium womenswear brand to recruit a Technical Designer for their West End office in London. You will join the Technical Development team, working across woven and jersey categories to deliver accurate technical packs from handover to first sample.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years in Technical Design or Product Development, be highly organised, proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Excel, and able to communicate

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate technical packs, CADs and specifications from design handover to first sample.
• Collaborate with Design, Garment Technology and Fabric teams to ensure fit and quality.
• Communicate technical specs to offshore factories via PLM and update packs after fittings.
• Support range reviews and ensure on-time delivery across multiple departments.

Job description

We're excited to be partnering with a globally recognised premium womenswear fashion brand to recruit a Technical Designer, based full-time at the brand's West End office in London. Known for creating trend-led, beautifully crafted collections with an exceptional focus on fit and quality, our client is looking for a talented and detail-oriented individual to join their growing Technical Development team.

Working closely with the Design, Garment Technology and Fabric teams, you'll play a key role in the technical development of a diverse product range, including woven and jersey dresses, separates, tailoring, outerwear, swimwear, nightwear and loungewear. You'll be responsible for producing accurate technical packs, CADs and specifications from initial design handover through to first sample, ensuring every style is developed in line with the designer's vision and the brand's premium quality standards.

The successful candidate will have experience producing technical drawings in Adobe Illustrator, alongside a strong understanding of garment construction, pattern cutting and fabric knowledge. You'll be confident communicating technical specifications to offshore factories through a PLM system, updating technical packs following fittings, supporting range reviews and collaborating across multiple departments to ensure garments are developed accurately and delivered on schedule.

We're looking for someone with 2-3 years' experience in a similar Technical Design or Product Development role, ideally with exposure to multiple product categories. You'll be highly organised, detail-oriented, proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Excel, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where quality, accuracy and attention to detail are paramount.
