Job summary

A leading building materials company in Sutton Coldfield is seeking a Technical Design Engineer to join their design team. In this role, you will be responsible for product designing and maintaining technical documentation while supporting the internal sales team. Ideal candidates have experience in 3D design, particularly with Autodesk software, and strong analytical skills. A salary of up to £33,000 is offered, along with benefits.

What you will be doing

• Product designing with fibreglass properties and the manufacturing processes in mind
• Creating the technical drawings on time and accurately
• Maintain all technical documentation
• Support where possible the internal sales team to assist on technical matters
• Talking to internal and external stakeholders at all levels with occasional site visits

Skills Experience

• Experience in 3D design preferably using Autodesk Software (Inventor/Vault)
• Be able to interpret building construction schematics and drawings
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with good attention to detail
• Self-motivated and can work as part of a small team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of fibreglass or similar material manufacturing would be an advantage
