Location: Stevenage

Salary: Competitive

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 17.00 pm (40 hours per week)

Contract Type: Permanent

What you’ll do
  • Champion EMCOR UK values and Client Life Saving Rules in all aspects of your work
  • Support site teams with planned and reactive maintenance to ensure reliable services and facilities
  • Carry out electrical installations under the Technical Delivery remit
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, identifying root causes and applying corrective actions
  • Scope and prepare quotations for technical works
  • Work independently with a safety‑first mindset, escalating issues when needed
  • Follow safe systems of work and intervene when standards aren’t met
  • Ensure full compliance with electrical regulations and safety standards
  • Provide technical guidance to maintenance staff and apprentices
  • Communicate clearly with clients, supervisors, and team members to ensure timely delivery
  • Lead initial response and evidence gathering for electrical safety incidents
  • Take ownership of designated electrical areas, including HV/LV substations and switch‑rooms
  • Keep client departments informed of planned and completed works
  • Support day‑to‑day FM operations as directed by the Technical Delivery Manager
  • Manage subcontractor and supplier activities in line with project needs
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation and EMCOR’s safety strategy
  • Identify opportunities to increase self‑delivery and drive innovation on site
  • Step in to support the Technical Delivery Manager during absences
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Operations Manager or Account Lead
Who you’ll be
  • Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in electrical discipline
  • BS7671 - 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • IOSH Managing Safely Qualified
  • Demonstrable electrical experience within a building service &/or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrable evidence of adherence to quality standards and compliance to regulations in a controlled / regulated environment (Preferably Pharma).
  • Experience of C&G 2391-52 Inspection & Testing (desirable)
  • Willing to attain Authorised Person LV within probationary period and hold this appointment throughout employment (AP appointment is a requirement of the role and attracts an additional payment)
  • Experience of Producing & Reviewing RAMS
