Technical Compliance Manager

Remote with travel

We are looking for a Technical Compliance Manager to join our HSSEQ team and help ensure our operations remain safe, compliant, and continuously improving.

In this role, you'll work across our depot network, supporting teams, auditing operations, and driving best practice. You'll play a vital part in upholding our standards, engaging with suppliers, and helping us deliver our ESG Strategy - Decade to Deliver.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Maintaining, reviewing, and updating plant manuals and technical documentation.
  • Conducting compliance audits across depots, workshops, and plant/power operations in line with internal standards, ISO frameworks, and legislation.
  • Supporting toolbox talks and preparing clear communications, memos, and guidance materials.
  • Investigating asset failures and incidents, producing detailed technical reports with recommendations for improvement.
  • Monitoring corrective actions and ensuring timely closure following audits or investigations.
  • Working closely with suppliers and the supply chain to evaluate new products, materials, and emerging technologies.
  • Supporting the implementation of new procedures, standards, and compliance initiatives across the business.
  • Conducting competency assessments and recommending retraining where required.
  • Supporting external audits and accreditation processes.
  • Promoting awareness and application of Speedy Management Systems including ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 50001.
What You'll Need
  • Proven experience in a technical, operational, or compliance role within an engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical assets, technical documentation, and operational standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and produce clear reports.
  • IT literacy and experience with compliance systems and reporting tools.
  • Commercial awareness and confidence working with suppliers and external partners.
  • Formal competency assessor qualification (or willingness to work towards).
  • Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel.
  • Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy - Decade to Deliver.
