A leading insurance firm in the UK is seeking a Technical Commercial Underwriter to join their team in Gloucester. In this role, you will provide mentorship and ensure the technical competence of underwriters while managing complex case work. Ideal candidates will have strong insurance technical expertise and a commitment to exceptional customer service. This position offers a hybrid working model and various benefits.

Ecclesiastical Insurance, who are proudly part of Benefact Group, are looking for a Technical Commercial Underwriter to join our Church and Direct Commercial Team in our Gloucester office.
As a Technical Underwriter you will act as the technical specialist for the team. You will be responsible for the technical competence of a team of underwriters, mentoring and coaching, providing training, establishing procedures and updates, and conducting audits. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders and act as a referral point within the team, contributing to a dynamic and high-performing underwriting team.
In this role you will also handle your own case work, including some of our most complex, prestigious and valued risks and customers, ensuring seamless servicing.
