About My Emissions
Food and drink accounts for a quarter of the UK's greenhouse gas emissions. We're on a mission to bring that number down. Reducing emissions starts with measuring them, and food businesses increasingly need to but traditional solutions are often slow, manual and expensive.
My Emissions uses technology to solve this problem. Using the latest AI technologies, we're able to automate the most repetitive and time-consuming tasks, turning a 6 month project into something our clients can finish in a matter of days. Ultimately, this allows customers to move from just reporting carbon to taking actions.
We now work with 100+ food and hospitality businesses across the UK and abroad, with customers including 25+ UK Universities, recognised brands like GAIL's and Wahaca, and even UEFA, who we've worked with at the Champions League Final for 3 years!
The Role
We're hiring a Technical Client Manager to join our client team. Together, the client team is responsible for making sure our clients get what they came to us for: carbon data they can trust, and the support to do something with it.
Within that, you'll be part of the team that owns the methodology and science behind what our clients see. In practice, that means reviewing how footprints have been calculated, sense-checking the result our platform produces, and explaining the approach in terms our clients can act on.
You'll lead onboarding calls, check-ins and the milestone calls where a client sees their results for the first time, and you'll be one of the people they message when something doesn't look right.
You'll work closely with our product and data teams, and you'll have real influence over the methodology, the data and the overall user experience. We're looking for someone who wants to be an advocate inside the company for what our users actually need.
What You'll Do
In your first three months
- Get up to speed on our platform, our clients' goals, and the science we're built on (product and corporate carbon footprinting).
- Shadow client calls, then start leading them for some of our smaller accounts.
- Conduct methodology reviews: checking how a client's footprint has been calculated and whether the result stands up
- Handle client messages and own the follow-up actions from calls, so nothing falls through.
Beyond that
- Lead onboarding, check-in and publishing calls across a set of clients, alongside the rest of the client team.
- Own methodology reviews end to end, and be the person the team trusts to sense-check a number.
- Work with the product team to shape what we build, bringing the client's perspective into the room.
- Write the documentation that explains our science and methodology, both for clients and for our help centre.
- Run client experience projects: client health, AI-powered support, and finding the things that quietly frustrate people before they tell us.
What We're Looking For
- Around 2+ years' experience in a role where you had to be both client-facing and analytical: consulting, analysis, technical support, client success, or something adjacent.
- Strong numerical intuition. You can look at a result and tell whether it's plausible, and you'll instinctively find a second way to check it.
- The habit of breaking problems down to first principles rather than pattern-matching to the last similar thing you saw.
- Personable and confident leading a call.
- Genuinely organised. You manage your own time, and you communicate updates simply and clearly without being chased.
- Attention to detail, you're the sort of person who spots the error in the spreadsheet.
- Comfortable teaching yourself. Carbon accounting standards move, and you'll want to keep up with them.
- A product mindset. You get excited about improving our product and processes.
- AI-forward. You're already using AI in how you work and keen to find more ways to do it.
Nice to Have
- Experience with carbon accounting, LCA, PCF/CCF or ESG reporting.
- Background in food, drink, hospitality or FMCG.
- Experience writing documentation, help centre content or client-facing explainers.
- Familiarity with support and CRM tooling.
Why Join
- Real impact. Every footprint you help get right gives a food business the data to meet ESG regulation, reduce emissions and engage customers on sustainability.
- Genuine ownership. You’ll work within the team owning the science and methodology behind what clients see, and have a real say in the product they experience.
- Depth, not just delivery. You'll come out of this understanding food carbon accounting better than almost anyone in the industry.
- Ship fast, learn fast. A small, AI-forward team building at the edge of what's possible in emissions data, with the latitude to try things and see results in weeks, not quarters.
- Central London office, with gym, food and drink on us, plus co-working spots across the city when you want a change of scene.
- Flexible by default. Hybrid, with a minimum of one day a week with the team in London, plus a month a year to work from abroad.
- Health cash plan.
