Job summary

United Infrastructure Group seeks a Technical Buyer in Warrington to manage day‑to‑day procurement for mechanical, piping, electrical, structural and instrumentation packages on energy and water projects. You will run the enquiry‑to‑PO cycle, liaising with suppliers, expeditors and project teams to meet budget and schedule.

Strong negotiation and RFQ experience, plus the ability to read technical drawings and specifications, are required to maintain accurate trackers and ensure on‑time delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years in technical procurement.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and scopes of work for material components.

Responsibilities

• Review technical drawings, scopes of work and specs for assigned material categories.
• Raise technical or commercial queries during buying process.
• Prepare and issue RFQs/tenders; manage supplier queries and clarifications.
• Place and maintain purchase orders within delegated authority; negotiate terms.
