Our client, a leading business in the Manufacturing industry, is seeking a Technical Buyer to join them on a full‑time, permanent basis.

Due to an exciting period of growth our client is looking for a Technical Buyer to join them, working closely with the Projects and Procurement team where you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and purchasing technical products and components.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a Purchasing / Procurement team, ideally within a manufacturing environment although this is not essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchasing goods, materials, components and services in line with specified costs, quality and internal targets
  • Conducting research for new components
  • Building, maintaining and managing strong relationships with suppliers
  • Providing advice with regards to procurement issues / time frames
  • Keep up to date with costs and trends
  • Make regular contact with suppliers to manage delivery times and resolve costs and quality issues
Key Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar Technical Buyer / Procurement / Purchasing role, ideally within the manufacturing sector however other industries are considered
  • Good understanding of purchasing / buying with good communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience working with suppliers
  • Confident liaising with customers and suppliers, building and maintaining relationships
  • Strong communication skills
  • Keen to learn, understand and keep up to date with new products on the market
