Job ID: 3048846 | Amazon Data Services UK Limited
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.
You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
Amazon Web Services is looking for a highly motivated Technical Subsea Network Business Developer to help build and scale one of the world’s largest and most complex networks. This role, within the Global Connectivity Infrastructure Development (GCID) organization, is responsible for planning and building subsea backbone capacity in close coordination with other team members. The candidate should be self-driven, have the ability to learn quickly and influence decision-making across organizations. In this position, you will work closely with various Amazon business units to gather, refine and drive program goals to develop and deliver submarine cable projects. You will have the opportunity to implement new processes and procedures driving continuous improvement while interacting with a broad range of stakeholders across Amazon.
Our Technical Business Developers are responsible for sourcing and planning, but also assisting in delivery, and have ownership of our network acquisition, implementation strategy and the maintenance of relationships with strategic suppliers to expand and grow Amazon's AWS footprint worldwide. By applying a unique blend of business and technology experience, you will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to find creative, cost effective, and often unusual solutions to meet Amazon's ongoing growth and expansion needs worldwide.
