Job summary

Sword is recruiting a Technical Business Analyst – UAT to support a major transformation programme in the UK energy sector. You will bridge business needs with technology delivery, lead UAT activities and ensure changes deliver the intended outcomes.

You will work across business, technology and delivery teams with significant stakeholder interaction, translating complex requirements into actionable deliverables and ensuring solutions are validated and ready for adoption.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within technology-led transformation or change programmes.
• Experience owning UAT, including planning, coordination, execution and business sign-off.
• Experience in the utilities, energy or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong requirements gathering, process mapping and analytical skills.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear technology deliverables.
• Confidence working with senior business, technology, operational and third-party stakeholders.
• Strong workshop facilitation and documentation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with end-to-end view of objectives, dependencies and risks.
• Sound judgement in complex or evolving programme environments.

• Support solution validation, business readiness and the successful adoption of change.
• Work across multiple stakeholder groups to manage dependencies, risks and competing priorities.

About the Role:

As the Technical Business Analyst – UAT, you will play a key role within a major transformation programme in the UK energy sector, connecting business needs with technology delivery and ensuring change delivers the right outcomes.

Working across business, technology and delivery teams, you will lead requirements and analysis activities, bring clarity to complex business needs and translate these into well-defined technology requirements. You will also take a leading role in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring solutions are thoroughly validated, aligned to business expectations and ready for successful adoption.

With significant stakeholder interaction, you will build trusted relationships across the programme, facilitate key discussions and provide the insight and challenge needed to support effective decision-making throughout the delivery lifecycle.

As the Technical Business Analyst – UAT, you will:

• Experience translating complex business requirements into clear technology deliverables.
• Confidence working with senior business, technology, operational and third-party stakeholders.
• Strong workshop facilitation, communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining an end-to-end view of business objectives, dependencies and risks.
• Sound judgement and the ability to work effectively within complex or evolving programme environments.
