As they continue to evolve their product suite and expand a next-generation cloud platform, they’re seeking a Professional Services Consultant — someone who bridges the gap between business understanding and technical expertise, with a real passion for helping customers connect their systems through smart API integration.

The Role

This is a client-facing technical consultancy role, perfect for someone with experience as a Technical Business Analyst or Integration Consultant who’s confident advising on and implementing API‑led solutions.

You’ll engage directly with external public sector clients to support the integration of their existing systems and data sources with our client’s core applications. This means analysing requirements, designing API strategies, and recommending the best technical approach for each individual project.

Key Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to understand their technical landscape and integration needs.
• Design and advise on API‑led integration strategies, focusing on RESTful APIs and related technologies.
• Support the configuration, testing, and validation of integrations between client systems and core applications.
• Work closely with internal development and delivery teams to ensure seamless implementation.
• Produce clear technical documentation and integration specifications.
• Act as a trusted advisor to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Skills & Experience Required

• Experience in a similar role — Technical Business Analyst, Integration Specialist, or Professional Services Consultant.
• Strong understanding of API technologies (REST, SOAP, GraphQL, etc.) and data exchange formats (JSON, XML, CSV).
• Excellent communication skills, able to translate between technical and business audiences.
• A structured, analytical approach to problem‑solving.
• Solid understanding of data flows, systems integration, and software environments.
• Background working with or supporting public sector clients.
• Familiarity with asset management or local government systems.
• Experience using API testing and documentation tools (e.g. Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI).
• Knowledge of SQL or data transformation scripting would be an advantage.
