What you'll be doing

We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst to help shape and deliver high-quality solutions. Reporting to the You will analyse business needs, running scoping sessions, and translating requirements into clear stories and tasks with defined acceptance criteria. Working with stakeholders, you'll perform functional gap analysis, define new features, and break down solutions into deliverable components, while identifying dependencies and constraints. Collaboration with product, data, and technical teams will be essential to ensure that backlogs are prioritised effectively and aligned to business value.

Your work also involves facilitating Agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement and 3-amigo sessions, and supporting quality assurance by working with QA leads to define robust test criteria. You\'ll oversee project timelines, resources, and deliverables, proactively removing blockers to ensure smooth delivery.

The technical delivery team at Go.Compare is key to ensuring we deliver great products, websites, and features to our customers and the business. Go.Compare is part of the Future Publishing Group so you will also work with iconic brands like Marie Claire, Tom\'s Hardware, Who What Wears, and many more to make an impact in what our customers see.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve
  • Technical Acumen:Experience and understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Critical Thinking:A proven ability to deconstruct complex business problems, challenge assumptions to uncover underlying needs, and objectively evaluate technical solutions to make data-driven recommendations.
  • Agile & Project Management Expertise:Good working knowledge of Agile methodologies, advanced requirements gathering and analysis skills, and proven experience in project or delivery management within a software development environment.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Tools:Strong communication skills to liaison effectively with both business and technical stakeholders, and experience with tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Visio, or Miro for managing epics, stories, collaboration, and documentation.
  • Diagramming and Modeling:Proficiency in creating technical diagrams using UML, BPMN, and ERD methodologies, including flowcharts, sequence diagrams, and swimlane diagrams
