This role is for an IT Business Analyst with the Mobile App development team. The analyst will provide a crucial link between the various product owners and development teams. They must have experience and be well-versed in the Agile software delivery life cycle. They will be required to understand the technical and business sides of the mobile app product and build knowledge to represent as a subject matter expert. They will need expertise in the customer area they support and have a technical understanding of the business unit's systems, capabilities, and respective technologies. They will be required to work closely with the product owner and business story writers to ensure story mapping and story grooming sessions are productive and that the outputs of each are complete and concise for the needs of the entire agile team. Must have strong communication and negotiating skills. Must be a skilled analytical and logical thinker. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. May be required to create requirements documents. Familiar with relational database concepts and client-server concepts. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision and will report to a manager. Experience working on a mobile app development team is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Work with Scrum Master, and product owners to build a mature backlog and translate that backlog concisely to the development team
  • Perform Scrum Master duties as needed
  • Triage and analyze issues quickly, and report findings to help the development team resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Create functional specification documents that detail how a system or application will function, including specific features and functionality
  • Create and maintain process documents - includes process maps, workflows, and other documentation that illustrates how business processes work, often including both current and future state processes
  • Create and maintain technical documentation - includes data models, API specifications, and system documentation architecture
  • Able to concisely provide status and explain the scope/requirements of assigned projects
  • Collaborate with product owners to assist with prioritization
  • Engage dependent services teams and facilitate integration discussions, explaining requirements received and needs from the service team
  • Ensure dependencies are met and provided to the development team in a timely manner, escalating when issues arise
  • Assist with resolving any roadblocks that arise during development in a sprint
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure all requirements are met before handing off to QA testers
  • Assist the development team with creating test data
  • Build trust with the business [IT or other Divisions] and throughout the organization
  • Foster speed, innovation, and encourage continuous improvement
  • Required to be familiar with current mobile functionality and to continually build a knowledge base with every enhancement/change that occurs
  • Ability to explain at a high level the current mobile architecture and service interactions
  • Obtain service endpoints and integration documents for the development team
  • Able to concisely provide status and explain the scope/requirements of assigned projects
SKILLS
Must have
  • 3+ years of IT experience
  • 3+ years of requirements, business, and systems analysis or similar experience
  • 3+ years of technical documentation experience
  • Working knowledge of Agile SDLC
  • Strong analytical, logical, and interpersonal skills

  • Experience working with modern technology such as web service, XML, JSON, iOS, and Android platform features
