Job description

At Paragon Customer Communications (PCC), we bring clarity and precision to complexity — helping organisations transform through clear communication, innovative technology, and expert delivery.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Author to join our growing Technology function. This role will be pivotal in shaping how we communicate our technical vision — working alongside enterprise architects, solution designers, and delivery teams to produce high-quality documentation that underpins successful project delivery.

If you have a passion for translating complex technical designs into clear, structured, and accessible documentation, we'd love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and maintain high-quality technical documents, including solution designs, HLDs, LLDs, integration specifications, and operational runbooks.
  • Partner closely with architects, designers, and SMEs to capture technical details accurately and consistently.
  • Create clear, concise diagrams and supporting narratives that make complex architectures understandable.
  • Define and uphold documentation standards, style guides, and templates across the technology function.
  • Support multi‑cloud solution documentation across Azure, AWS, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Ensure documentation reflects considerations for scalability, security, and performance.
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert on documentation practices, mentoring others in best‑practice communication.
What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years’ experience in technical writing, solution documentation, or similar roles in enterprise IT.
  • Proven expertise producing structured technical documents — from design artefacts to operational guides.
  • Solid grounding in enterprise infrastructure: networking, Windows Server, and Linux environments.
  • Experience documenting cloud‑based solutions across Azure, AWS, and OCI.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Proficiency with Confluence, MS Office, Visio, or similar tools.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
Desirable
  • Background in infrastructure engineering or systems administration.
  • Familiarity with TOGAF, Zachman, or other EA frameworks.
  • Experience in Agile environments using Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Enthusiasm for mentoring teams in documentation best practices.
