We are looking for a Technical Assistant to join Siemens Mobility as part of our Rail Infrastructure business in Manchester. In this role, you will assist the engineering team with the processes, assurance and compliance to ensure that the maximum output is achieved in the growth of engineering capability and delivery in the region. Other aspects of this role include preparing and distributing ESL T2 packs, taking meeting minutes, organising and creating presentation packs and making venue arrangements for Design and LPEM meetings.

You will complete monthly fatigue audits, following correct process when exceedances occur as well as setting up the Standards Briefing meetings, managing signature sheets and other necessary tasks.

You’ll make an impact by
  • Managing onboarding, off‑boarding and role changes on HR portals

  • Updating training matrix for Project Engineering, Design and Test and coordinate the training allocations for each year
  • Ordering of new equipment for new starters/employees and supporting the leaver process when required
  • Administering SharePoint sites and ensuring content compliance and up to date information
  • Supporting the Design, Project Engineering and Testing teams as required
