we’re looking for a technical assistant to join our cpu team full time at our east acton site if you’re detail-driven, organised, and passionate about food safety + quality, this could be the perfect fit

purpose

you’ll support the cpu team to make sure all our food safety, compliance, and quality standards stay sky high. from managing technical data to supplier follow-ups, you’ll help keep our kitchen running smoothly from bowl to soul

this is a hands‑on role for someone who knows their way around specs, spreadsheets, and supplier standards. you’ll be supporting our product integrity from idea to bowl

what you’ll do

• manage supply chain complaints + follow up with suppliers to resolve issues quickly and thoroughly
• handle technical data and admin across systems + reports
• coordinate lab testing + sample requests to keep new launches on track
• verify product specs, raw material info + allergen data
• keep food safety + compliance reports accurate and up to date
• support with new product launches + quality checks
• help the team maintain gfsi compliance + support legal food safety requirements

what we’re looking for

• a degree in food science, nutrition, or similar
• at least 1 year’s experience in a technical assistant or similar role
• haccp level 2 certified (minimum)
• strong understanding of allergen management, food safety + uk food law
• experienced with gfsi schemes + regulatory platforms (like horizon scanning, finn + rasff)
• solid knowledge of excel + data systems
• great attention to detail, clear communicator + organised thinker
• someone who’s passionate about food, curious, and keen to learn
