Job summary

Cabinet Office in the United Kingdom seeks a Technical Architect to advance how government uses data and technology to counter fraud. You will lead the technical design of Azure-based systems within the Public Sector Fraud Authority’s Data Analytics Service Team and guide junior colleagues to ensure delivery aligns with government priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience designing systems within an Azure-based platform.
• Experience aligning technical design with government governance structures (e.g., Technical Design Authority).
• Ability to mentor and guide junior multidisciplinary teammates.
• Proven ability to engage with a range of stakeholders and manage delivery.
• Familiarity with modern software development lifecycle and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design of systems and services in an Azure-based platform.
• Assure external services and system quality and align with digital government strategy; defend decisions to governance bodies.
• Maintain collaboration with architecture leads to identify and resolve issues.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and manage sensitivities of results.
• Deliver projects through the SDLC with assurance from governance boards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders within and outside Government to promote the team’s work.
• Invest in professional development and foster an inclusive team culture.
