We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Applications Engineer - Industrial Pumps based in Castleford to join one of our clients on a full‑time permanent basis.

Summary of the Technical Applications Engineer role

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
Location: Castleford
Type of Contract: Permanent, Full time
Hours: Monday Thursday 8:15am - 4:45pm, Fridays 8:15am - 1:45pm

Responsibilities

• Selection, preparation and delivery of pumping equipment estimates and quotations.
• Calculate pipe friction losses and produce system curves using in‑house tools.
• Prepare estimates and quotations.
• Ensure all data recording systems and costings are up to date and current.
• Involved with bespoke projects.
• Provide technical support.

Requirements

• HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience/Knowledge of centrifugal pumps, applications, performance curves, system curves etc.
• Experience in the wastewater industry and frameworks.
• Excellent working knowledge of ISO quality systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings, specifications and schematics.
