We’re working with a leading global manufacturer of advanced machinery solutions who is seeking a passionate and highly skilled Technical Advisor to join their dynamic team in East Yorkshire.
In this pivotal role, you’ll be the bridge between customers, field engineers, and internal teams – providing expert technical advice, troubleshooting support, and ensuring that service requests are handled quickly and professionally. As a Technical Advisor, you will:
Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries, providing clear technical support and advice.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues remotely or elevate them to senior teams efficiently.
Log, track, and manage cases using software to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
Prepare quotations for machine modifications, service work and retrofits, working closely with internal design and engineering teams.
Provide part specifications and assist with software‑related troubleshooting and basic bug fixes.
Coordinate and schedule engineer visits, service jobs and machine relocations.
Support engineers in the field with logistical, technical and administrative tasks.
Create and maintain technical documentation and training resources for both internal and external use.
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
Strong diagnostic, fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.
Good organisational abilities and attention to detail, with the capability to manage multiple priorities.
Confidence with computer systems and technical software.
A proactive approach, willingness to learn, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Experience within machinery, engineering, PLC Software, HMI or other technical service environments is highly desirable.
