Job summary

ROBERT W. BAIRD & CO. INCORPORATED is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst for the Tech & Services sector. The role supports growth in a team-driven environment, involving sell-side M&A, debt advisory, and financing services for middle-market clients.

You’ll work on high-profile transactions, perform detailed financial analysis, and contribute to client presentations and transaction documentation, collaborating with senior bankers and management teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), ideally in a numerate, business, or related discipline.
• 1–2 years of Investment Banking experience (sell-side M&A, corporate finance, or transaction services).
• Genuine interest and working knowledge of the Technology & Services sector; prior sector-coverage experience is a plus.
• Strong academic record and interest in finance and capital markets.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong commercial judgment and market awareness in the investment banking landscape.
• Analyze complex financial statements and performance metrics to identify opportunities and risks.
• Build and maintain sophisticated financial models, including valuation, M&A consequences, LBO, and operating models.
• Develop client presentations and marketing materials that clearly communicate strategies and value propositions.
• Support execution of live transactions across M&A, capital raising, and advisory engagements.
