Job summary

Skyports Drone Services in London, UK is seeking a Tech Ops Lead - GIS & Data to tackle data-driven challenges and own OEM relationships during the initial years. You will analyse GIS insights, assess drone manufacturers, and help design systems for bespoke customer needs.

The Role

In this role, you'll tackle new challenges daily, developing innovative solutions in an environment where ambiguity is the norm and adaptability is key. Over the first two years, you’ll gain exposure across our business while taking ownership of key OEM relationships.

You’ll Learn How We Conduct BVLOS Drone Operations Around The World—delivering Medical Supplies In Africa, Servicing Offshore Rigs In The North Sea, And Collecting Oil Samples From Ships In Singapore. Along The Way, You’ll Master

• Crafting winning business development proposals
• Translating technical analysis for non-technical audiences
• Embedding safety culture into every aspect of operations

Key Responsibilities

About You

• You have a strong technical mindset and are comfortable working through complex problems, often in environments where there may not be an obvious answer.
• You’re confident working with data and analytical tools such as Excel, with the ability to interpret findings and turn them into practical recommendations.
• You’re a clear communicator who can translate technical information for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• You’re organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of projects, managing multiple priorities and working across different teams.
• An interest in drones, aviation, robotics, autonomous systems or emerging technologies would be highly beneficial.
• Experience working with GIS, LiDAR, geospatial data or tools such as QGIS would be a strong nice-to-have, but is not essential.

We’re particularly interested in people who are curious, adaptable and keen to learn. You don’t need to have worked in the drone industry before — we’re looking for someone with the technical aptitude and mindset to develop quickly in the role.
