Plentific is seeking a Tech Lead - Data Engineering to architect our data platform in Greater London. Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Tech Lead, Principal Engineer or System Architect.
• Deep experience in Python and production-grade engineering practices.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning systems and tooling.
• Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience with data warehouses.
• Experience designing and operating data pipelines with modern orchestration tools.
• Experience with Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Demonstrated ability to make trade-offs between correctness, performance, and cost.
• Ability to interrogate and analyze data to ensure high data quality.

Responsibilities

• Own the Data Platform, including ingestion, storage, and transformation.
• Lead the design of distributed data systems.
• Work with product teams for machine-learning-powered product features.
• Design schemas for structured and unstructured data.
• Set and uphold engineering standards across the data domain.
• Architect and implement high-scale, fault-tolerant data pipelines.
• Spend time building and maintaining core pipelines and services.
• Define the technical roadmap for data and mentor engineers.
• Design automated workflows to reduce manual processes.
• Design governance frameworks and ensure data integrity.
