Job summary

The Wonderfield Group is seeking dynamic kitchen professionals for an Operations role at Glasgow Braehead. This full-time position offers 8+ contracted hours with a pay of £12.71 per hour.

You will prepare, cook and present fresh Japanese dishes, maintain high hygiene standards and support the YO! Team in a busy restaurant environment. Training and progression opportunities are available.

Responsibilities

• A passion for great food - real foodie who loves food and wants to work with likeminded people that share our passion.
• Competent in all areas of the kitchen including food preparation, maintaining cleaning standards and regulations.
• Demonstrate a good working knowledge of fresh food and cooking techniques.
• Clean and maintain the kitchen by practising good safety, sanitation and health and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of working to tight deadlines in a QSR environment
• Inventory controls to ensure we track stock levels and minimise waste.
• Support with the setup, maintenance, handover and close down of workstations each shift
• Complete all training to be fully aware how to maintain a safe environment for our Team & Guests.
• Strong knowledge of all product specs to deliver our fantastic menu to the highest standards.
• Roll sushi, work the pass, work in the hot section, prep raw products and maintain a clean & safe environment following Food Safety protocol & Trail app.

We burst onto the restaurant scene in 1997, when we shook up London and showed the UK a new way of eating. Part of this was the 'kaiten' conveyor belt and colour-coded dishes which made our name.

We're all about fresh, flavoursome, authentic Japanese food. Sushi is what we're famous for, but we also have a mouth-watering range of hot street food available - from traditional classics to innovative fusion dishes. All packed with rich, aromatic flavours and umami. Fast forward to today and we have over 70 restaurants all over the globe, more than 300 kiosks in the UK, with grocery products and pre-pack sushi in most major UK supermarkets.
