Job summary

Carlsberg Britvic in Northampton is recruiting a Team Member / Plant Operator on a 6 month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Process Team Manager, you will operate the plant and provide a comprehensive production service according to SOPs, aiming to meet production plans and KPIs.

The role requires working 4 on 4 off rotating shifts; you will drive health and safety improvements, support colleagues, and contribute to continuous improvement and best practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-moving production environment.
• Knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental considerations.
• IT literate with basic QC/SPC, Word and Excel skills.
• Qualification in Brewing & Packaging desirable.
• Understanding of 'right first time' principles.
• Full UK Working Rights (Sponsorship unavailable).

Responsibilities

• Operate the plant and provide production service per SOPs.
• Meet production plans, sample plans, and KPI targets.
• Own problem solving, process improvement and best practice.
• Drive health and safety and environmental improvements.
• Maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards.

About the role:

If you are interested in joining our journey, we are now recruiting for a Team Member to join us on a 6 month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Process Team Manager, this role will play a key part in our success journey, and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:

Role Responsibilities:

• To operate the plant and to provide a comprehensive production service in accordance with standard operating methods
• Achieve production plans, sample plans, service level agreements and key performance targets
• Actively take ownership for problem solving, process optimisation and continuous improvement activities
• Play a key role in the development of best practice
• Drive initiatives for health and safety & environmental improvements
• Improve and maintain satisfactory hygiene and housekeeping standards
• Support all team members and develop positive relationships with colleagues through effective communication and feedback
• Establish effective relationships with internal and external customers
• Ensure productivity from each shift is optimised

Experience and Key Attributes:

• Experience of working in a fast-moving production environment
• Have knowledge of the relevant Health, Safety & Environmental considerations
• IT literate (QC/SPC, Word, Excel)
• General Certificate in Brewing & Packaging or working towards the qualification would be desirable
• Understanding of ‘right first time’ principles
• Full UK Working Rights (Sponsorship unavailable)
