Job summary

Virgin Active & Kauai invites you to join our team as a Team Member in our Greater London cafés. This full-time role is 40 hours per week, focused on warm, friendly service and preparing fresh food and drinks to brand standards while maintaining hygiene and operating POS systems.

You’ll work with Virgin Active and Kauai teams to create a welcoming environment, learn the menu, handle orders, stock checks and training support.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in hospitality or food service is desirable.
• Food Safety Level 2 qualification or willingness to obtain.
• Food Allergy and Intolerance training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to food safety and hygiene.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, positive and reliable approach to work.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, friendly and genuine service to every member and guest.
• Prepare food and beverages to brand recipes and presentation standards.
• Process customer orders and payments accurately using POS systems.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, promotions, allergens and nutritional information.
• Recommend products and provide exceptional customer experience through confident service.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained at all times.
• Complete opening, closing, preparation and temperature check procedures accurately.
• Follow allergen procedures and prevent cross-contamination in food prep.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs.
• Maintain a clean, organised café environment and displays.
• Collaborate with Virgin Active and Kauai teams to deliver a seamless member experience.
• Assist in training new team members and uphold Virgin Active brand standards.

In this role, you will play a part in creating a welcoming environment for every member and guest while preparing fresh food and drinks to the highest standards. Whether you're serving customers, preparing meals, maintaining excellent hygiene standards or supporting your colleagues, you'll play an important role in delivering an outstanding member experience every day.

The Role

Who We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a customer service, hospitality or food service environment is desirable.
• Food Safety Level 2 qualification (or willingness to obtain).
• Food Allergy and Intolerance Training.
