Job summary

A major healthcare provider in Glasgow is seeking a permanent administrative support professional. You will provide secretarial and administrative services to the Multidisciplinary Team within Adult Community Mental Health Services. The ideal candidate has excellent knowledge of EMIS and the ability to manage a busy workload independently. This role is full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Excellent knowledge of EMIS Web or an equivalent Patient Administration system.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a busy workload and support the wider Team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an effective secretarial and administrative service to the Multidisciplinary Team.
  • Ensure the single point of access operates effectively.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision of staff as required.
  • Typing of clinics using digital dictation and diary management.
  • Maintain and update EMIS with relevant patient information.
  • Deal with varied enquiries from patients and relatives.
  • Provide cover for administration colleagues during sickness and leave.

Overview

Details

1x permanent post, 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm. Half hour early finish 1 day per week on a rotational basis.

Responsibilities
  • Provide an effective and efficient secretarial and administrative service to the Multidisciplinary Team comprising Managerial, Medical, Psychotherapy, Psychology, Nursing and Occupational Therapy staff within Adult Community Mental Health Services across Glasgow City HSCP.
  • Ensure the single point of access operates effectively and work independently for much of the time, managing daily workload and supporting the wider Team.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision of staff within the service as required.
  • Typing of clinics using digital dictation, diary management, and general clinic management.
  • Maintain and update EMIS (or equivalent Patient Administration) with relevant patient information.
  • Deal with varied enquiries from patients and relatives.
  • Provide cover for administration colleagues within the Team and across Glasgow City HSCP North East Locality (Adult Mental Health Services) during periods of sickness and annual or other leave.
