Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train and develop the best people for your team, ensuring they can deliver above and beyond in their role by strengthening operational and leadership skills.
  • Coach your team to be passionate and knowledgeable about store products, building the brand and providing customers with the right range, quality and service to keep them coming back.
  • Lead your team in driving trade activity, using your expertise to grow sales and maximise profit.
  • Develop managers’ knowledge to deliver the Store Change Plan and resource‑planned activities, ensuring hours are worked where most beneficial to customers and identifying and resolving root‑cause issues with sustainable solutions and continual reviews.
  • Prioritise the safety of your colleagues, ensuring the store always trades legally and coaching the team to use all security tools available to create a safer workplace.
  • Communicate knowledge, experience and best practices, working collaboratively with your team to deliver results.
  • Be natural and welcoming with customers, building strong relationships and putting them at the heart of what you do.
  • Use energy and resilience to maintain momentum in challenging environments, owning decision‑making for the store and acting quickly for the best outcomes.
  • Display energy and drive to deliver beyond expectations, consistently performing at your best and inspiring confidence in those around you.
  • Stay aware of competitors’ activities and seek ways to build and deliver new initiatives that improve the store for customers.
