Overview
Join the Judicial College Planning and Operational Support leadership team to manage a busy team delivering judicial training programmes across the UK. The role supports the Lady Chief Justice, the Senior President of Tribunals and the wider judicial community by ensuring high‑quality magistrate training and the implementation of digital learning solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a team of AO and EO staff providing operational support for magistrate training delivery, including digital, face‑to‑face and blended learning.
- Ensure each team’s assigned training profile is delivered on schedule and properly resourced, managing the associated budget.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the Judicial Office, Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service and the Ministry of Justice to plan, manage and monitor emerging training needs.
- Provide accurate and timely budget reporting, forecasting and risk management to deliver value for money.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects and support the Planning and Operational Support Team’s business plan.
- Play a key role in planning and arranging the training programme for future years, including development of the online prospectus.
- Work collaboratively as part of the leadership team to build a resilient, adaptable team.
- Partner with the Judicial Education Team and Digital & Technical Team to implement and develop digital training delivery.

Selection Process

Salary
National range: £35,335 – £37,847. London range: £40,014 – £42,859.
