A local government authority in the United Kingdom is seeking a candidate to manage the operational delivery of a residential service for Looked After Children. The successful applicant will oversee a team to ensure quality service provision and continuous improvement. This role also requires commitment to regulatory standards and completion of pre-employment checks. The position will involve interviews over two days with the first day focusing on group exercises.
Responsible for the operational delivery of a residential service to Looked After Children through the day to day management of a team of professional and support staff.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
Interviews will take place over 2 days. Day 1 (06/01/2025) will be a group exercise and an inbox exercise and Day 2 (07/01/2025) will be a panel interview.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
