  • Experience leading NDT inspection teams and projects.

  • Oversee day-to-day coordination of inspection schedules and resource allocation.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting and processes.

  • Ensure safety, quality, and compliance across projects; produce high-quality technical reports.
  • Support travel within the UK and overseas as required.

# **Team Manager NDT Inspection Services****NIS/NDT****Location**: Cambridge/Middlesbrough/Port Talbot**Contract**: Permanent**Office/Hybrid:** 3 days in Office**Hours**: Full time**Job Profile**: Team Manager**Salary/annum**: Min £45,100 - Max £62,000**Closing Date**: 31st October 2026**Security requirements:** Please note that, due to security restrictions relating to defence and nuclear sector projects, applicants must hold UK citizenship to be considered for this position.**Description of role:**The Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Group is seeking to appoint a Team Manager within the “NDT Inspection Services” section to lead our Site Inspection Services. This role is critical in ensuring that all inspection activities delivered on customer sites meet the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance.As Team Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing the inspection team, providing clear direction and support to maintain operational excellence. You will oversee the day-to-day coordination of inspection schedules, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet project timelines and client expectations. Building strong relationships with internal and external clients will be key to maintaining seamless communication and service delivery. In addition, you will champion continuous improvement initiatives, driving efficiency and enhancing reporting processes.The position requires a leader with proven experience in inspection services and a strong understanding of regulatory compliance and quality assurance. Exceptional organisational and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to motivate and guide a team under tight deadlines and changing priorities.You will also proactively develop a pipeline of new business opportunities, engaging your team with potential customers, collaborating with colleagues across business units and working closely with the business development function. Projects must be maintained to the highest standards of safety, quality and technical excellence while meeting time, cost and delivery targets.The NIS section delivers a broad range of projects to an international customer base, often with competing demands and the requirement to co-ordinate multiple priorities in a fast paced, continually changing environment. As Team Manager, you will be responsible for the allocation of technical resource to best fit project needs, assisting in project delivery of projects and supporting day-to-day customer enquiries. To be successful you will need to:* Demonstrate experience of managing multidisciplinary teams and projects;* Commit to providing technical excellence with effective communication and interpersonal skills,* Possess strong knowledge of NDT and on-site application.* Show a track record in effective Project Management, including scoping of work and producing high quality technical reports;* Capability to assist staff training and development activities within your team including motivation, succession planning and personal growth opportunities.The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three CSWIP/PCN Level 2 and one Level 3 in at least one major NDT method (UT/PAUT/ET would be advantageous), an appropriate qualification at degree level or significant demonstrable experience in the on-site application of NDT in industry, extensive knowledge in NDT and will have gained or be working towards chartered engineer status. demonstrable experience of a leading role in NDT.**For further details, please follow the Job Description link below**:https://www.twi-global.com/pdfs/careers/JR100938-Job-Description-NIS-Team-Manager.pdf**Travel**:This position involves short-term travel within the UK and overseas, depending on project demands and client interactions.
