Job summary

Tameside Council in Ashton-under-Lyne is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead social work teams within Safeguarding and Service. The role is aligned with the Families First reforms and our Heart of Support Practice Approach, emphasising meaningful relationships with children and families.

You will contribute to embedding systemic practice, developing staff through supervision, and delivering high-quality practice that improves outcomes for children and families.

Qualifications

• Recognised social work qualification and substantial experience within statutory children's services.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policy and safeguarding frameworks.
• Expertise in identifying and responding to all forms of harm, including extra-familial harm and exploitation.
• Commitment to relationship-based and strengths-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop social work teams across safeguarding and service.
• Embed the Heart of Support Practice Approach and systemic practice training.
