Salary: £31,500 - £34,500 plus additional on call payment of circa £2,000

My Life was established in 2012 as a result of a group of people with disabilities and their families wanting something different to traditional types of health/social care services and wanting more choice and control over their own lives. We pride ourselves on being a unique service. We offer personalised support to a diverse range of individuals living in their own homes. Each person has their own dedicated team, delivering support that’s tailored specifically to their needs and preferences. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach—it's about making sense for them and making a difference.

About the Role

This is an exciting role – part hands-on, part management – where you\'ll support adults with learning disabilities, autism, complex care needs and mental health challenges in a community setting. You\'ll play a key role in shaping services that are person-centred, empowering and full of heart.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working on support to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, complex health needs, and mental health conditions
  • Supervising, mentoring and motivating a team of Support Workers
  • Leading service delivery to ensure high standards of care and regulatory compliance
  • Supporting with rota planning, staff development, care planning, reviews, and risk assessments
  • Participating in the on-call rota as part of the management team
  • Contributing to the growth and development of our services in your local area
  • Building strong relationships with families, professionals, and the wider community
Who We’re Looking For

My Life is seeking a caring, reliable and confident leader who share our values and bring experience, heart and resilience to their work.

Essential Criteria
  • A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) – and willingness to work towards Level 5 if not already held
  • Direct experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs and/or mental health challenges
  • Previous experience in a leadership role, such as Team Leader, Senior Support Worker or Deputy Manager
  • Strong understanding of community-based support
  • Ability to lead and manage a team, handle complex situations and drive positive outcomes
  • Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
  • A flexible and hands-on approach – this is role is split between our Standish site and your community location
  • Ability to participate in the on-call rota
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
Desirable
  • NVQ Level 4 or 5 (or equivalent leadership and management qualification)

  • Competitive pay: Up to £34,500 plus additional on call payment of circa £2,000 per annum. Potential earnings of up to £37,000.
