Job description
Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full Time Team Manager position within the Adult Autism Diagnostic service based at Keegan Court, Grassbanks, Gateshead. The service is a Trust wide service covering Northumberland, North Tyneside, Newcastle/Gateshead, Sunderland and south of Tyne. Normal working hours would ordinarily be across Monday to Friday (9-5pm) should condensed hours. The Team Manager is responsible and accountable for providing safe, effective care and an efficient service, to patients and their carers who live within the community. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day management of the team, hold excellent communication skills and ability to form positive working relationships with Systems Partners.
  • Support with recruitment, retention and induction of staff.
  • Conduct clinical and managerial supervision, appraisals and oversight of individuals development.
  • Manage performance and absence/staff wellbeing.
  • Ensure statutory and mandatory training is completed.
  • Support implementation and development of patient and carer experience.
  • Oversight of a support with informal and standard complaints process.
  • Engagement within interface meetings.
  • Dealing with grievance and disciplinary cases.
  • Motivate, engage and develop the team within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Lead and coordinate team communication, including holding regular team meetings, communicating and consulting on service changes and acting as a conduit of information.
  • Support Team following serious incidents and with debriefs, local and after action review process and serious incident panels.

Working Hours and Flexibility

Flexibility with working hours may be available whilst working with the demands of the service and this can be discussed informally with Paul Wilson, Clinical Manager.

Please note that it is a requirement of this Trust that all external applicants pay for their own DBS certification if a DBS check is required for the post. The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first monthly pay.
