This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate and committed team that is making a real difference in the lives of individuals with complex emotional needs who meet criteria for a diagnosis of Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD). As a Team Manager for the Sutton and Merton Complex Needs Service (CNS), you'll have the chance to lead a dedicated multidisciplinary team of highly skilled therapists, ensuring high-quality comprehensive psychological care and recovery-focused interventions are delivered safely and effectively to our service users and their carers. This role offers a dynamic environment where your leadership skills will shape service delivery, foster professional growth, and drive meaningful improvements in patient care.

You will work within a supportive, nurturing and collaborative culture that values innovation, continuous learning, and staff well-being. With opportunities to develop leadership skills, influence service improvements, and contribute to an inclusive and patient-centred approach, this is a service where you can build a fulfilling career while positively impacting the community. If you thrive in a role that balances strategic management with hands‑on clinical involvement, this is the perfect position to lead, inspire, and drive meaningful and lasting change.

Main duties of the job

As Team Manager for the Sutton and Merton CNS, you will provide leadership, ensuring high-quality psychological care for individuals with EUPD. You will oversee daily operations, manage a team of multidisciplinary therapists and work closely with the Clinical Lead and Consultant Psychiatrists to deliver evidence-based therapies like DBT and MBT.

Key responsibilities include performance management, supervision, and workforce planning, ensuring service targets are met while fostering a supportive, inclusive team culture. You will drive service improvements, manage resources effectively, and ensure adherence to clinical governance, safeguarding, and Trust policies.

This role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and excellent problem-solving skills. You will need the ability to inspire and develop a multidisciplinary team, ensuring seamless collaboration with stakeholders, service users, and carers. A strategic mindset is essential to enhance service delivery, while emotional intelligence and resilience will help navigate complex situations with compassion. If you excel in managing services, driving innovation, and delivering person-centred care, this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact.

We are proud to offer agile and flexible working opportunities as part of our new ways of working, and we are happy to talk flexible working at the interview stage.
