Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking a seasoned Team Manager to lead a Children in Care Service on a temporary 3-month contract in Birmingham. You will supervise Social Workers, oversee care planning, and drive service improvement with a trauma-informed, relationship-based approach.

This leadership role requires outstanding safeguarding expertise, strategic oversight, and the ability to manage competing priorities within a local authority setting.

Formación

• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
• Extensive experience in Children’s Social Care.
• Proven management, supervisory or leadership experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Children in Care and Care Proceedings practice.
• Experience in managing complex child care cases and care planning.
• Strong safeguarding and risk management expertise.
• Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to handle competing priorities and demanding workloads.
• Strong analytical, planning and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication and partnership-working skills.
• Proficiency in using management information and performance systems.
• Ability to lead teams within a trauma-informed and relationship-based practice framework.
• Previous experience as a Team Manager within a Children in Care Service.

Working Pattern: Maximum 2 Days Per Week Office-Based (Additional Office Attendance Required During Duty Weeks)

Summary
