We are recruiting for Theatre Team Leaders who share our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

We have a new role available as Scrub Theatre Team Leader. This post requires candidates to have an all round knowledge of elective (Vascular, Orthopaedics, Urology, Obstetrics & Gynae, Plastics, Robotics, ENT and General Surgery) and emergency procedures.

The Registered ODP / Registered Nurse is a vital and valued role to support in providing high-quality, compassionate care to patient/clients and their families/carers within the clinical / peri-operative environment. Based within the theatre team they work closely the multi-disciplinary team in monitoring and maintaining policies, standards of nursing care, staff and service development.

Main duties of the job
  • Maintain health, safety and control of infection in clinical work areas.
  • Assist and care for patients undergoing a variety of elective (Vascular, Orthopaedics, Urology, Obstetrics & Gynae, Plastics, Robotics, ENT and General Surgery) and emergency procedures.
  • Receive, transfer and position patients for clinical procedure.
  • Prepare equipment/supplies and waste is kept to a minimum.
  • Ability to work in any of the Theatre areas according to service needs, regardless of which theatre department they are based in, although it is anticipated that staff do permanently work in the department they are employed to be based in.
  • Act as clinical lead to staff at Band 6 and below and supervise staff within a specific area of responsibility.
