Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the care team on shift; allocate tasks and manage breaks.
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support with daily living.
- Administer and record medications safely (eMAR), escalating concerns promptly.
- Complete and update care plans, risk assessments and daily notes accurately.
- Carry out observations (e.g., BP, pulse, weight) and report changes to nurses/management.
- Conduct effective handovers and maintain clear communication across the team.
- Mentor, supervise and coach new starters and Care Assistants; support training compliance.
- Liaise professionally with residents' families, GPs and external professionals.
- Uphold safeguarding, dignity, infection control, GDPR and health & safety standards.
- Assist with audits (care records/meds), incident reporting and falls prevention.
