Job description

As Team Leader, you’ll take a key role in supporting the Manager to oversee daily activities, supporting staff, and ensuring the children in our care are safe, happy, and engaged in meaningful play experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and motivate a team of playworkers, in delivering high-quality, child-centred care
• Plan, organise, and deliver engaging play-based activities
• Ensure the environment is safe, inclusive, and stimulating at all times
• Maintain accurate records, including attendance and incidents
• Promote positive behaviour, inclusion, and wellbeing
• Liaise professionally with parents, carers, and external agencies when needed
• Support and implement safeguarding, health and safety, and other key policies
• Assist with staff rotas, training, and development
• Take responsibility for opening/closing the setting when required
