A community-focused care provider in the United Kingdom seeks a Team Leader to oversee support services. As Team Leader your role will be to provide support to an agile Service Manager. Team Leaders are responsible for the smooth and safe running of the service, including managing and creating the monthly rotas, updating and managing care plans, supporting and supervising support workers, including inducting new team members, as well as overseeing reporting, such as medication records and health and safety checks. Team Leaders are also expected to work jointly with other professionals to ensure customers receive support which is designed to meet their own personal need. Working with the Care Co‑ordinator, the Team Leader will ensure the provision of high quality, person‑centred care and support, supporting practical, social and spiritual needs, leading the service delivery in the service in line with Sunderland Care and Support values and standards and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission [CQC]. We are looking for experienced individuals who can lead and motivate a team of support workers to build a sense of community, encouraging our customers to have a voice, share their views, have choice, and feel at home. Qualified to at least NVQ/QCF Level 3 in adult social care or equivalent, with demonstrable experience of caring for and supporting adults. You will also have experience of supervising and leading in a care setting.
