Job summary

A leading provider of elderly care homes in Rugeley is looking for a Team Leader to lead the care planning process and monitor residents' well-being. The ideal candidate will have NVQ 3 in care and two years' experience in a senior position, along with effective communication and leadership skills. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary of £13.50 to £13.70 per hour.

Job title: Team Leader

Responsibilities

• Lead in the person‑centred care planning process by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations; complete care plan audits; develop action plans; and be responsible for completing action plans.
• Assist in the smooth transition of any discharges from the home, including documentation, medication, and keeping the resident's next of kin fully informed where appropriate.
• Monitor the well-being of each resident, be aware of changes impacting care and care planning, and ensure changing needs are met with records amended accordingly.
• Practice safe systems of work across tasks and moving and handling of residents, assessing risks and ensuring safety of residents, visitors, and staff.

Requirements

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Two years' experience in a senior position with the resident group.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to lead staff and act responsibly in the absence of the manager.
