Job Description

HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is looking for a Team Leader to support justice delivery. The role requires delivering excellent administrative support and customer service to service users, judiciary and management.

Your Role

You will lead your team, prioritise and organise work, and ensure the team is fully skilled to meet objectives. You will also contribute to operational performance, provide statistical data to management and judiciary, monitor trends, review procedures, recommend improvements and support the implementation of new initiatives.

Your Skills and Experience
  • Ability to motivate and support your team to deliver excellent customer service and achieve effective performance.
  • Experience of working in an administrative role in a customer‑focused environment.
  • IT proficiency with the ability to learn and adapt to different technologies and software packages.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and prioritisation skills.
Further Details

New recruits to the Civil Service joining MoJ are expected to join at the band minimum. These operational roles are customer facing, requiring an office‑based professional to provide HMCTS services to the public. Standard full‑time working hours are 37 hours per week. HMCTS welcomes part‑time, flexible and job‑sharing working patterns, based on business needs and agreed prior to appointment.

Working Arrangements

The MoJ offers hybrid working arrangements. Employees are expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in an office, subject to local estate capacity. Some roles may not be suitable for hybrid working; arrangements will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate(s).
