Job description

A Day Team Leader at SuperCare provides structure, energy, and leadership in a home where children are active, energetic, and sometimes physically aggressive. You'll make sure routines are consistent, staff feel confident, and children are fully engaged. You'll balance being hands‑on with guiding your team, stepping in during incidents, and ensuring the day flows smoothly. It's a role for someone who is as comfortable running up the stairs to redirect a child as they are sitting down to review a care plan. This home is rated "Outstanding" by Ofsted and is looking to maintain that record.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead day shifts, ensuring routines and strategies are followed.
  • Support children with hygiene, education, and active play.
  • Guide staff in responding calmly to aggression or property damage.
  • Maintain communication with families, schools, and professionals.
  • Keep morale strong and ensure the team feels supported.
What We’re Looking For
  • At least 3 years in SEN or residential childcare.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Care (or equivalent).
  • Confident in managing aggression and leading through challenges.
  • Energetic, organised, and compassionate.
Benefits
  • Salary 20% above sector average
  • Rota: 07:30-22:30, 1 day on / 2 days off
  • 36 days of leadership training each year
  • Fully funded Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management
  • Private healthcare & 24/7 GP access
  • Gym stipend & wellbeing support
  • Pension & bonus scheme
