Job summary

Glenholme Specialist Healthcare in Bedford is seeking a Team Leader for our learning disabilities supported living service at Shakespeare House. You will lead and motivate a team of Support Workers to deliver person-centred care and positive behaviour support.

This permanent, full-time role offers training, career progression, and a strong values-driven culture. You’ll work 37.5 hours per week with alternate weekends off, and enjoy a supportive environment in a CQC-rated Outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.
• Leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards).

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of Support Workers to provide person-centred, high-quality care and positive behaviour support.
• Ensure daily operations run smoothly and efficiently across the service.
• Be a role model for best practice in support, safeguarding, and positive behaviour support.
• Support the development and implementation of care plans that promote independence, choice, and dignity.
• Take part in on-call responsibilities and support with rota management and staff supervisions.
