Overview

Team Leader, Grindlay Court Social Work Centre, Edinburgh Justice Services

Salary: £54,476 - £65,184. Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks. Two permanent posts:

  • Team Leader, Justice Practice Team
  • Team Leader, CISSO, Crane and SAVOLO

Edinburgh Justice Services are committed to providing high quality services while ensuring a compassionate approach to people accessing our services and supporting staff wellbeing. We offer a high level of training to support continuous professional development and to deliver a broad range of interventions, including established accredited group work programmes. We are implementing Trauma Informed Care, Safe & Together™ and Restorative Justice practice models and interventions across our services.

Responsibilities
  • Be accountable to the Sector Manager for the management, professional oversight and organisation of your team, offering an integrated range of social work services in the justice system.
  • Provide professional leadership, support and direct supervision to your team.
  • Work with a range of partners across all justice services to deliver services.
Qualifications and requirements
  • A Social Work qualification recognised by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and be registered, or eligible to register, with the SSSC.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an understanding of National Outcomes and Standards and public protection.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic environment and to contribute to an inclusive culture that values and respects diversity and lived experience.
  • PVG Scheme membership or update check is required for this post as it is regulated work with children and/or protected adults; where applicable, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required for time spent outside the UK in the last 5 years. An unconditional offer is subject to satisfactory completion of these checks.
